  1. Insert DVD or VHS in the VHS/DVD Player and click Stop. (first image) Click the Finder icon on the dock. (second image) Next Click Applications link on the left. Then double click on the iMovie icon. (third image)

  4. Click Import to setup capture settings. (first image) Save to User Work Disk > Select Create New Event and enter an Event title > Select Split days into new Events > click Import. (second image) Click Stop to finish Importing. (third image)

  5. Highlight and Drag the video to the timeline. [Image 1) Switch Timeline Mode. This option allows you to see the clip duration. [Image 1] Move cursor to the location where you want to edit the video clip. Right click on video and select Split Clip. (image 2)

    • Or click and drag to highlight an area within a clip. Right click and select Cut. This option will remove the selected portion. [Image 3]

  6. Click File > Finalize Project [Image 1] Click Share then Export Movie. (image 2) Enter your project name. Designate a location to save your project. Select your desired Export size. Click Export [Image 3]
    • Click File > Finalize Project [Image 1]

    • Click Share then Export Movie. (image 2)

    • Enter your project name. Designate a location to save your project. Select your desired Export size. Click Export [Image 3]

    • Congratulations! You just captured a clip using a iMovie.
